Monday 29 th August, Class notes.

Good Evening

So for class today we are looking at some camera techniques involving Compistion, like the rule of 3rds.

So today's class task is:

Composition = rule of thirds
Framing/cropping = cutting & figure
Pattern = close up
repitition = 5 - 6 images

What we have learnt so far

Fore - mid - back - ground
Positive negative space
Shutter = Blurring frozen
dof
viewpoint

What I learnt in class this morning.

This was my small take on David Siliga Setoga photo of repitition. I needed more people for this to work better.
I took this one to resemble frameing in  photography, I see now that the image could have used a little more focussing but I like how it turned out Kind of worth thinking about experimenting more. maybe use different glasses as I can barely see with out mine.

I choose these three to show pattern. I also Tried to take the photos at different angles to make the lines to in different directions.

I tried using this one a s the rule of thirds but looking at it here it feels like a very cluttered and messy picture so I need  to retake this photo but better. different area

I had to take the afternoon off because I needed to get the doctors. Stephanie needed to come with me because she had no other way to get home later.

Saturday 27 August, more application

Today we decided that we wanted to go to the Manurewa botanical gardens so stephanie could take some photos to start working with Double Exposure. And I also Just wanted to get some more practising in as well. But I had a little emergency because I had lost most of the hearing to both of my ears and we had spent most of the day running around between chemists trying to get some help, and we went home several times to try some ear drops which made the situation twice as worse as I had pretty much lost all hearing so by the eveningish we decided that we needed a break so stephanie's mum picked us up and we finally made it to the gardens, Which turned out even better because we got some pretty cool pictures particularly with the sun almost setting. I used a combination of my DSLR and my cell phone.

These are some of ones were taken on my phone:

And these were the best that were taken on my DSLR:

I like this last photo because it looks like the photo has been split into thirds.
